vaccum nipple

does anyone know this part? it has/had 2 nipples the left one goes to the bottom of the accordian hose and where does the other go?

in the mean time, cap off the vacuum hose going to the part that you broke off. it's a hardline coming from the front of the engine (it's in front of teh timing belt cover) going to that piect you're missing. If you don't cap it off you'll have a vacuum leak.

That valve (#17630) is used to increase idle when turning the car at low speed. It does need to be capped off on the hard line side until you get a chance to replace it.

That's strange... You sure?

It seems that it's a straight connection to the vacuum on the intake.To me it looks like not capping it off will cause a leak ?

Yep...idle up for powersteering at low speed.

Actually, you are correct...technically, it needs to be capped off on both sides. Not capping it off on the accordion hose side will allow unmetered air into the intake.
