So I will (SHOULD) be in the 500-600 Hp. Im expecting at least. So my car will be ran hard when its ran at the track. Will be coming off the line with a trans brake at about 4k.

So Is there a preferred mount Stock, Solid or Poly?

Is there any downsides to running solid mounts? Are the vibrations only a discomfort thing or can any actual damage be done? I've always wondered about it...

So the MkIV mounts just go straight in on an 89+?

98 Supra Mounts.

You'll have to grind down one pin on the "triangle side".

You'll know what i'm talking about when you get them.

I'm pretty sure that mkiv mounts are gonna be too tall Zumi. Pre 89 mounts are different height and possible angle too. The subframe is different on pre 89 as compared to 89+ where you can do the grind thing you are referring to.

In your situation with that year I would personally go with the BIC mounts.

With all do respect; i'd love to know what makes the BIC motor mounts, and torque damper better or stronger than the stock pre89 counterparts.

I'm not saying anything against Randy; and his other products. But, knowing the design of the stock MK3 hardware; they're really stout.

First off the stock MK3 hardware is great but it is 20+ years old and cracks and breaks after time, esspecially after the engine has been pulled a few times for BHG's, rebuilds and engine swaps. The 86-88 factory mounts are strong, but 450+ HP and launching with slicks or DR's, it is very hard on the mounts and they do allow for excess movement and wheel hop. Watch your shifter when you drive hard and you will see what I mean.

The BIC motor mounts are Polyurethane with an interlocking internal design. The TQ dampers are just an add on to limit movement for those that dont want to go to a full solid or poly mount. For the price you cant beat the performance you get from it and ease of install. We are also working on a semi solid 89-92 motor mount as we have had alot of requests for them.

I'm running BIC's pre-89 solid motor mount adaptors and solid motor mounts on my 87 1J I the only time I notice vibration is when the RPM's drop to 600 RPM's (which is way too low). Other than that they perfect and very strong. I recently put down 400 RWHP through them without any problems. So my vote is to go full solid motor mounts (Randy's) since I have yet to hear of anyone breaking them.
