Have searched and read alot about replacing the whole arm, and even the option of using a GM BJ.

Has anyone successfully used a commonly found balljoint to replace the Toyota ones (without replacing the whole arm)?

I am installing the poly bushings and mine look tore up. I am sure I can reinstall and be okay, but if there's an easy/available option, I'd like to do it now.

Thanks!

I saw a thread by Cuel that mentioned how he had to cut out, trim some metal (machine shop) and press in a GM one (which also had to be trimmed some), but the attached pics did not work.

That was in 2007, so I figured someone may have done something different/better by now.

I also thought that maybe they're held onby a snap ring of sorts and that equivalent ones coule be insterted, such as the Tacoma ones in this auction... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Uppe...trksidZp3286Q2em20Q2el1116QQitemZ230252016057
