uh yea i understand that. now see this is the whole point of research and asking around on the forums to get information since i wasnt successful in finding any info.

now lets say i go with slightly bigger injectors, is there a way to mod or tune the stock 7mgte afm Without having to go with the bigger lexus afm? and im assuming i would have to add a fpr and a wideband to tune it.

just a thought.

Why?

Seriously if you haven't increased Airflow through the engine stock Injectors easily provide more than enough fuel to cope, most people that tune a stockish 7M are pulling fuel on the top end not adding it.

ok let me ask a question....if you already have you new injectors but not the lafm and the other stuff, can you go ahead and put them on since you have the motor apart??? i dont want to pull the top of the motor off again for the injectors

will the bigger injectors mess with a factory setup???.....

ok so his answer is no...
The ECU "might" have enough range in closed loop to pull some fuel so it will idle/cruise if the Injectors aren't too much bigger BUT it will be pig rich everywhere else and will drop power...

I sincerely recommend that anyone considering the Lex/550 upgrade read this article by Reg Riemer, the guy who originally designed this upgrade. It details the reasons he chose to do things they way he did, the research and math that went into it, and the purpose for each component of this upgrade.

You will find that the Lex/550 setup is a well designed upgrade, and not some grouping of parts that was just thrown together independent of each other in an attempt to get more power.

The article is very educational, and it's important to know exactly why you're doing certain things to your car.
