has anyone got recommendations for aftermarket oil coolers?

i'm completing my relocation kit which uses -10 but the oil cooler i was planning on using only has like -6 entry & exit which will be basically useless.

so ya, post up what ya got and where ya got it and how much :)

Thanks :D

There are a few people on here using the B&M oil cooler, I think it's a "supercooler"? I haven't heard anything bad about them yet. I think IJ uses that one along with a few more. I will probably use it too, but I'm not sure what size the inlet/outlets are...

i bought a FC RX7 oil cooler. i should go take some pics of this thing. it really is a masterpiece. i got mine for 50 SHIPPED, the rx7 guys are giving these away from swaps and partouts, but it has BIG inlet and outlet sizes. m18x1.5 screws in so w/e that is in an fittings is gonna be pretty big.

Will you be using an oil cooler that would warrant the use of a thermostat?

You didn't mention a thermostat, but sometimes, big might be too big for a oil cooling system with no thermostat.

IIRC, the RX-7_FC has an internally placed thermostat in the oil cooler itself, then again I read it on a thread here.

That is right, the RX7 Oil cooler should have an internal thermostat. I'm gonna call the dealer today and find out how much a new one is. :icon_bigg

EDIT: Just called dealer. *cough* $925 + Tax *cough*.

Used it will be!

If you can fit it in Setrabs are awesome. They are very thick though, like 2" IIRC and come in a variety of sizes with AN fittings.

I would look into what Setrab has to offer. IMO higher quality and you can get whatever you want basically. (IE, cools better with less weight and bulk)

Silver beat me to it, but like I said, you can get from tiny to HUGE, so size isn't an issue.

After reading about the rx-7 cooler a while ago I started looking for one. I found one at the junkyard for cheap, but now I see why it cools so well. That thing is monstrous, I'd have no idea where to mount it.

same :nono:
i dont think if we mounted the beasts along the ac condenser that it would cool so well.
