IF LAZY READ CLIFFS
So.. I have a '91 supra auto turbo.. i have a mhg and just replaced most hoses and mostly everything that needs changing after 16 yrs of life.
I will be in college soon and im commuting ( live very close to NJIT) and
the supra will be my daily so i dont want to go crazy with my mods
and i have done TONS of research for what is the best bang for my buck
and keeping things from requiring too much expertise and high maitenance(sp?)
so i have a list of basic mods to do and i want to know a general feel
for rwhp with these mods. ( and if someone knows the stock rwhp for
a turbo auto)

1. K&N intake
2.3.5" BIC Thunder Exhaust
3.3" DDP
4.GReddy Profec Type S Boost Controller
5.High Flow CAT(just dont feel like dealing with inspection)

any other input would be appreciated

cliffs: asking for general rwhp for upgrades 1-5

Thats a good path but your running an auto so your not gonna get as much rwhp as other guys w/ the same mods.

right now you would PEAK at ~190 rwhp, w/ those mods ~230-240 rwhp @ ~10-11 psi.

Just remember that once you start making more power your going to make more heat. Heat is going to go straight towards our achilles heal which is the a340e. Do what you can to get rid of the heat and you'll be fine.

I didnt see any replacement of the stock bypass valve. its 16 years old and those dont tend to hold up for long above stock boost.

My car make 190whp when completely BONE stock (stock airbox and everything) I have the same mods that you listed, (minus the DDP, I have full 3") and there was a HUGE jump in power, it's probably around 250whp, +/- 10hp.

And I agree with the statement about the stock BPV (bypass/blow-off valve) I had to replace mine when it got stuck and was just surging all the time, I went with a recirculated TurboXS RFL.

i saw that already.. and thats not what i was asking

OKay, My apologies. If I had interpreted thrings correcly you asked about three things in your post.

1. (sp)?
2. General feel for rwhp with these mods.
3, What is the stock horsepower of turbo auto.

I tried to give you an answer to number 2. Your mods are of the basic bolt on variety. For this you can expect similar increase in rwhp to that discussed in the linked thread. All you need to do now is add that number to the answer you come up to for question number 3.

Sorry, I thought you could figure it out. You said your were going to college and identified a school ending in "IT".

Just do a oil/filter change for the Auto and add a big tranny cooler.
People have used the auto on 400 hp fine.
