I got my GTE donor block with bottom end home, it was rusted but the crank, rods and bearings were all great. Thank god that engine was only 2 rod sizes, 2 and 3. I successfully pulled the crank and rods out, undamaged.

Next tonight sometime I hope is getting all that out of my GE and cleaning it.

Im trying to get all the carbon build up off my GE pistons, they have built up alot from the previous owner running Regular gas. (87 octane) FTL

After I get the new bottom end in from the GTE into the GE, Im getting a new HOPEFULLY Aisin oil pump for it. Speaking of which, the oil pump in the GTE looks fine, but I wanna fix the screen, replace it, can I do that or is it trash?

Im just waiting on my head to come in, gonna get some ARPs and put it all back together. I think Im also gonna use hte lower timing cover from the GTE, its silver and looks almost new. I need a camera.

and i had it all looked at, I was told Im good to go.

I'm glad you went that route instead of just replacing the bearings...I think you'll be much happier in the end when you don't have rod knock again. ;)

And for the oil pump, just check the clearances of the GTE one (not sure is GE pump is any different)...you should be okay...I have heard that Toyota's 7M oil pumps are pretty bulletproof.

GTE pump is longer in respects to the shaft oil pump drive shaft.
