Unknown Warning Light

Ok, this one warning light keeps coming on and I don't know what it is. It is an orange light with a picture of a car, looking from above, down onto it, and a couple lines coming from each of the rear tires. Any ideas? I haven't been able to find it anywhere. And it comes on just during normal driving, I'm not spinning the tires or anything.

That's the "burning rubber" indicator. You're way too bad ass and at serious risk of smokin' any who comes along.... well, it IS a Supra after all. :D

Heh, I never really thought that the lines could be coming from the tires... lends itself to a whole new kind of interpretation.

I dont recall the foglights being wired into that failure box. I could be wrong though

It's not a USDM vehicle he's talking about. I can't recall, but do the Canadian MKIII's have rear fog lights?

And as to what you're thinking Pogoism, no, no forward lights are connected to the lamp failure module.

So when that comes on, my tail lights aren't working? Since it only comes on once in awhile for a few minutes at a time, should I check the connectors and the wiring for the tail lights?

What do you mean "my dash doesn't light up"?

Depends on the bulbs you used...LEDs don't have the resistance required to make the failure module "happy".
If you're using std bulbs, it's likely the module.

i've done a rewire to where the "lamp failure light" does not come on anymore. its just cutting a few connecting them. i don;t remember where exactly i found the directions to, i think it was either on here or on www.supras.com. try searching it on here and see if it come up.

Might check the grounds in the tail lights as well. Just don't over tighten them, or you'll strip/ break the plastic.
