I paid 17 something for the 1/2" rubber line from the PS reservior to the pump... It was 10" long. There are premium items for premium cars, what do ya expect. Long live Supra!

Hey, just think about Porshe part prices. We're frickin' elite man. Went to the local Toy dealership looking for Temp sensor. They want $63 !!! Autozone gave it up for $26. Life's like that.

Yeah, it's not like there's no other options...
AFAIC the Toyota-only parts are fairly reasonable.

If you want a Supra,
you gotta pay to play...

Then why is a supra 7m timing belt marked up 300% more than the same belt as the 7m cressida?? It is totally unreasonable imo...:3d_frown:

There isn't Supra price gouging. Toyota's pricing is consistant across their entire lineup. Occasionally you will get a part here or there that costs more for one car or another, but they aren't playing hardball.

Also, for a lot of stuff (maintenance replacable items), Toyota's prices are on par with aftermarket suppliers. Once you get into less common, not very often bought parts, you get much more expensive (interior parts, etc).

PS: Toyota USA list prices are way lower than Toyota Canada's prices, so don't think you have it that bad ;).

Also, there are a number of part numbers for the timing belt on the Supra(s), which supersceded a couple times.

13568-42010 becomes 13568-42011
13568-42011 costs $24.15 list (still available as far as I can tell)
13568-42011 becomes 13568-49015
13568-49015 costs $34.18 list

The Cressida's timing belt follows the same path, so I'm not really sure where the price difference you guys are talking about came from...

On the belts, I got my info from Ian in some thread a while back.. Maybe he will chime in.. But i will do some comparing locally.. Ever since fast and the furious came out, prices have increased on anything with the supra name on it, imo..

That's for the AFM, not just the electronics. Still really expensive, but the Lexus is more from the dealer than the Supra AFM.

22250-50030 - 1UZ-FE AFM, LIST: $1048.40 USD
22250-42020 - 7M-GTE AFM, LIST: $720.15 USD

Find a new Toyota dealer, Joel!

I just called mine, and 13568-42010 is $24.15 list, $19.35 trade price.
Exactly as Jeff mentioned...

I would have to agree Kurt... :)

After doing some research, I think Ian was refering to the parts house, not the toyo dealer, My bad...:nono:

My god, i got ripped on my timing belt. You mean to tell me i could have spent $34 instead of $75. My motor i bought came with a new timing belt for a additional $75. The only thing that justifies this $40 loss is my 180day warranty i had, and the belt was covered.
