Yes that's why I ask, back in the 80's there was a limited production homologation car here called an A9X Torana that used a rear facing hood scoop and these were outlawed for road use if open!
(I got defected for one)

I know some kids with cowl hoods on Fox mustangs and camaros and sorts.

They have never been cited for them. And they seem to be the same height as that cowl.

I believe its an Officers preference, As long as it isn't HUGE and blocks vision I don't see why not.

Wow talk about typical Japanese overkill. Man that thing looks guady.

how much does it weigh?

A few years ago I think it would translate into "Rice". That's my reaction.

The center vent is marginally functional...

I would like to see it on your car before I solidify my opinion though. I tend to be a meat and potatoes man but I can appreciate tasteful bling here and there. :sonic:

I can see the center vent removing a majority of air in the engine bay, and the vent on the passenger side, removing some excess turbo heat, while the front facing vent, obviously feeding the air intake.

Sir,

With respect to your post count, I must counter your argument, which is in favor of the functionality of the above bonnet. I myself (and many others) have retained a factory hood with no ill effects due to the hood. I do support your theory that the above said hood would, in-fact, aid in air circulation within the motor compartment. However, I stand firm alongside my belief that it is entirely unnecessary and propose that the main purpose of said hood is that of BLING, my dear sir.

I respectfully await your response but more so, pics of said bonnet on said Supra.

;)

Who makes this hood? I never seen it before but it does look good and very functional. I might have to get one now...
