Uh oh lol... Valves fell?

Ok so i had my engine on my stand and as i was removing everything
to get it prepped for a hot tank i turned my motor upside down and i totally forgot that
i took my cams out before hand =[ i had my valve covers still on and all i heard was
pink pink pink.

I'm guessing there all out of order now and idk what to do?
Do i have to reface them now or what?

are you talking about the shims and buckets?
if you are... you are gonna have to use a feeler gauge and re-measure the shims.. probably have to order new ones to get everything to spec. there's a guide on here on how to do it and also its in the tsrm.
buckets..i guess just try to put them in.. they should slide in easily.. if not ttry a different hole, etc... (correct me if im wrong on this one guys)

He's pretty much got it.

Put everything back in, do a bunch of measuring with the feeler gauges, then pull it all apart, measure the shims and swap to get them into spec. It's not a fast process, that's for sure.

On the positive side, you won't forget the cams are out when rolling the head over again.

LOL this will take forever as EVRYTHING will probably be out of spec.. then you gotta get a vernier and measure every shim.. write everything down and do some math

probably best to do with an excel spreadsheet

I feel the pain......
I hate just adjusting the valve clearance, since I have inner shim buckets.
But when I do a cam change, then that is a real PITA..

There was a excel sheet for this floating around somewhere but i could could never use it as it as i never had excel.
