Of course Suprasport DOES know about it. Any vendor that deals with intl shipping knows about it, and there's nothing that can be done on their end. When it comes to UPS especially, UPS will take it upon themselves to mark values up to "recommended" values when they think something seems too low...then charge brokerage fees on that figure. With them, it doesn't matter how low the declaration value is - You're going to get screwed.
So when shipping with UPS, they tell you "when the package is delivered we are going to charge the reciever "brokerage fees" that will be a rediculous amount":sarcasm: Its not the vender fault this happened. They arnt charging you the money. At worst they are simply not informed. The only thing that can be done is informing the vendors what UPS is up to. Complaining to them would be putting the fault on them. Many companys that ship alot of items have a deal with a shipping company, they pack it up, label it and everyday UPS, FEDEX, whomever shows up and picks up their packages.

It's illegal but nothing can be done about it
if thats what you think then you really should open your mind about this. One thing that can be done is informing the vendors what UPS is up to. Complaining to them would be putting the fault on them. Many companys that ship alot of items have a deal with a shipping company, they pack it up, label it and everyday end UPS, FEDEX, whomever shows up and picks up their packages. They might not even care, how many of their shipments go International? %1? I recall a vendor on this very board stating they would no longer sell to canadians becasue of this exact issue.
Another thing to do is use a cross boarder shipping address. Im telling your from personal experiance, this is the best way to deal with international shipping between Canada and the US.
But other than those two things, your right, nothing can be done:cry:
