Is there anything tricky or special about replacing the driveshaft joins? My driveshaft is clanking pretty hard when i accel/decel so I'm pretty sure the joins are shot...

Is replacing 'em as simple as any other car?

Sorry man the stock U-Joints are not servicable.. Only a driveline shop can change them out for you.

Mattonedime: Thanks for clearing that up. I have seen on my supras over the years drivelines with serviceable joints and factory ones. I guess it depends in Justins case if some one has already been in there and torn it apart.

The service manual tell you how to replace them. http://www.cygnusx1.net/supra/library/TSRM/pr/PR_05.html

Whatever you do, don't beat them out with a hammer like I did. If you have a puller that fits, it's not hard, though I'm sure a shop can do it for not much money.

Check for play in your transmission's output shaft bearing. Mine got quite loose and sounded a lot like dead u-joints.
