Haha good to see you made George. I like how you jumped in the pic to make it better. Looked like a good turnout. Very nice cars to all who went.

We just made it home. Only got one ticket the whole trip. I messed up and did a first gear pull right in front of a small town law, but luckily for me, he let me pay him in cash and I was on my way............minus two hundred dollars of course.

Pictures look good Ken. It was great meeting everyone and I wish we'd has time to meet more, but the racing and working on cars kept us pretty busy.

BigZavs, Ben, did I get to talk to you this weekend? I don't remember talking to anyone and telling me they were BigZavs.

I know I met, Lincoln, Fletch24, suprakid and a few others that I hadn't met before. Everyone was super cool and we had a great time.

Track times were a bit disappointing, but 12.082 was the best I was able to do. If it hadn't been for the twenty five mile an hour head wind, I believe I could have broke into the elevens. I'll have to get them next year I guess.

Thanks to all of those that helped Keylan and I swap out a rearend in the car. We were doing one wheel burnouts so we swapped it out with another 3.73 and made a couple passes and then was doing one wheel burnouts again.............:burnout:

Maybe if I was launching with two wheels, I might could have gotten into the elevens on a couple of passes that was very close. When we first got there, I was trapping 120mph. Once the wind picked up, I was trapping between 110-116 mph. Either way, I had a great time and got second in the M2 class.

i believe the light blue pre 89 that you said was badass is shawn cassidy (IIR his name correctly) from best transmission.

O he of Pinks Fame!!!!!!!!!! I'd think there would be enough talk of that car for everyone to be sure.

thanks for the pics! i love the TX2K9 or BHG on the back window!

That would have fit so much better on the back of a 7M car, but funy just the same.

Excuses, excuses! At least you were able to run in Texas, and make it home safely. Times are impressive as they are.

Ken, I swear, I will be there next year if I have to start walking in February! That red car you said may be Zoonwen's car is jawdropping!!!!

Here's my one TX2K9 memory. I drove 65 miles to Noah's house with Jay's front end in my mirror. That car looks so damn mean in the mirror. I thought Noah was not going to Texas. What did he break??????

His exhaust cam slipped causing it to jump timing realllllly bad. They relocated the dowel pin and retimed it and it fired right up. He's going to probably need a new cam gear though, which is no biggie. For a minute, it was believed his engine was shot. When he'd crank it, it would just free spin with almost zero compression.:aigo:

You'd better be there next year dammit!!!! Even if I have to come pick you up. Believe it or not, my wife expressed interest in going next year. Gasp!! Vonda said to bring her and I just laughed at her knowing how she hates my supra but then today she said she might like to go next time.

No excuses, but only the trufth.............:biglaugh:

I was extremely proud of my little 1.5jz today. So far the past weekend it has driven 1700 miles, made 43 dyno pulls, and ran down the 1/4 mile track about twenty times and its still running flawlessly.
I will say that on the way home though, I somehow blew a fuse that controls my tach, oilpressure gauge, water temp gauge, and also my windows. I had the windows down, and I had to drive it home without being able to see the oil pressure or water temp. Luckily my car is running acceptionally well and that type of stuff isn't necessary. It got extremely cold in there though. I was glad to get home and be able to get out of the car and into the house.

Nice pics, I have a LOT of em, but we got home super late last night, one of our tow rigs broke down, so I will upload them tonight.

Props to EVERYONE who ran in the drags, we had a great turnout this year.

I ended up running a best time of 11.77 despite having tranny probs. I ran 12.1 in the finals and Suprahero left a little bit early and I got the win. He ran a 12.1 also, so it would have been a SUPER close race if we left at the same time.

It was nice to see/meet/hang out with all you guys out there.

Suprahero, that car is GORGEOUS. By far my favorite MK3 out there this weekend.

BIG props go out to Brandon for taking the class 1 win, even though he kept telling us he wasnt expecting to win.

Also wanna give props to my teammate for taking 2nd in class 1 despite having all kinds of problems with the car.

We planned on making the night meet but the drag racing put a hurtin on both of our cars. I actually blew the BOV right off of my piping on that last run, dont know how or why, but I'll find out. My friends car is also rollin with a severly wounded tranny and rear diff.

Despite all the problems we had, it was an awesome weekend as always and we are looking forward to having another meet soon.

I had a blast. Can't wait for next year. It was great getting to see everyone, and meeting lots of new folks. I was in shock at the number of MKIII's that were there.

I have picks and videos. I'll try to get them up today.
