the funny thing is is that Tissimo and i have the same manager here at work and they are thinking he has the Flu right now since he called in sick thursday and today.......and here he is working on a car in fucking texas!!!! must be nice...i wanted to go sooooo bad but i am always too broke.

Yes Jake, I'll get a run of the 7M shirts going soon, we just needed to get these out in a hurry to make the show.
It was an awesome meet, lots of sunburned people again this year, FSTOY said they talked to SLOW66 back in CT and they were shoveling snow. We missed having Bryan and Mellow back out this year..................wasn't the same without them.
I'll download more pics later.

Victor was actually doing some work! That was me all clean drinking a soda.
Mashedough~ not sure if he posts on this forum, he won first place in the stock class drags.
SupraRich~ did an impressive 11.95 run down the strip....This is a stock bottom end car, stock CT26. He had a 3000 stall converter, so that put him the modified class, he did spray a 75 shot to get there!
However in the finals he was out guned, and took second against DeeVees(SF member) who took first place.
It was nice to see that both first place winners were Texas cars.
F&H perfomance out of Tampa had a nice car, but he blew his head gasket on the way to texas...His crew Justin, Eli, Sergio, Denny all work very hard on saturday at the track to chance the HG. After all the hard work, a silly silicone coupler held them back from making a pass down the quater mile.

There were a couple of MKIII's with 2J that did make some really nice passes down the track.
Jimmy Almerez from TX, he is not on any forums! Did a 9.75 et. Built 2J with a huge Turbonetics Y2K turbo.
JWCatto ran a 10.33 with a built 2J bottom w/1J head.

turbosiosis - thanks for letting us crash at your place, eat your food, and clean/fix our cars at your house. was an awesome experience and we have that great story about excessive acceleration now!

Dave..thanks for providing the grill man..that made a HUGE difference in the entire aspect of going out to the track. Once again thank you so much, its always great seein ya, hopefully we can hang out a bit sooner again.
Tampa crew...good seeing the regulars such as Eli, Denny and that one psifactor chick (lol), but also good meeting victor and Mr. Tissimo himself. you guys were awesome for showing up and doing a HG job the way you guys did, was very impressive. I woulda just said fuck it. u guys are troopers.
Lance, Lewis and significant others...I love you guys to my hearts extent. theres is nothing more to be said, you guys make every car meet THAT much better when you show up...that goes for everybody else, too. Cherie (i think is pelled that right) I LOVE YOU!!!
my Corpus boys really represented this year...Carl running an 11.4 in his mkiv T61, MASHEDdough winning his category for the trophy at the drags....man im proud of you all. To Carls dad...MAJOR props to him for buying our food..he really didnt have to do it, but did it anyway...the sushi was awesome and i enjoyed everything. carls dad is a funny man, he was pickin on carl most of the meet and i had a hard time NOT laughing.
TO ALL that showed up at PF Changs..THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!! I almost felt like a fuckin loser cause 15 minuted passed and i didnt see anybody...i had NO idea you were all outside waiting for me hahahaha. Great to see that everyone showed up, im very happy about that.
special thanks to Ron Henderson and Tommy Banh for going out of their way to locate me a rad. fan for my aristo...i couldnt of done itw ithout you guys. thanks so very very much.
yeah for me...great times. Thursday night, we go out drink etc..friday night, i break my Aristo, we bail from the cops from the night meet, still had a damn good time. Saturday, was riding with my fellow corpus buddy. We raced a procharged C6 on the highway and tied. great run!! then headed towards the show and shine, but my buddy took the exit a bit too fast and we ended up going off road and getting stuck in the mud. So we had to push the car out, head back 7 miles to a car wash and then show back up. Saturday night, i headed back with Ron Henderson aka Gadfly on Supraforums in high super high horsepower supra and we did some highway runs..HOLY SHIT that car is fast!!! then proceeded to Tommy Banh's shop to pick up the fan i needed to fix the Aristo. Then got a ride home from Larry and his Sound Performance crew. during that ride, i sat next to a gorgeous girl...we looked at each other like we knew each other and holy shit we did! shes my friend Tracy from like 6 years back when i lived in chicago...so it was great seeing here.
further into saturday night we ALL got super duper drunk at the hotel parking lot....emptying out a bottle of Patron and Jack Daniels as quick as they could open em up. we were lit, in the parking lot, having a great time...very memorable.
sunday..woke up late, watched some drags, MASHEDdough won his category, im very proud of him...got home at 11pm, good times.
we drank alot, drove alot, broke shit, fixed shit, played alot of concrete football and had an all out ballz of a great time!

PF Changs (setting right after the dyno day....) so we decide that chinese food sounds good and PF changs isnt too far away from the hotels, dyno, and frankenstein for the night meet. ive got a radio and have an idea of where we are going and holding up the rear end sheparding the little convoy when we realize that weve passed it. no problem, just flip around and drive back....well as i watch everyone take a turn out to flip a bitch and all of a sudden i see the MK1 buy (the black car) looking straight at me... across the median!
(him) - | (me) his car was awesome and he really drove the piss outta it. probibly had the most fun driving his car out of everyone there.
f&H performance hg swap - at the show/shine, 60-130. test and tune, started around 2 and just bout finished by 7 or 8. thats dedication there to a cause and a great group of guys.
lastly boost logic story..... after boost logic blew the motor my buddy cameron and i were walking around trying to find out what happened as one of the BL guys i had been talking to is jogging to the far end of the track. he sees me an angles over and asks if im parked close and if i could drive him down to the car. "hell yea!" so im driving the BL guy down in my mk3 to find out they had lifted the front tires about a week before and possibly starved the motor of oil, that it was down on power the whole time, and they rans a 10.13 w/ rod knock and lifting 3/4 of the way down the track! and that if need be they would pull the motor from the silver car to get the drag car up and running (which they did!) awesome show of effort by the BL guys
