hey guys,
this site has been super helpful working on my 7mge 87 supra

but this problem just came up today and i needed help.
every time i put on my left blinker you can hear it but on the dash the arrow doesnt come on and it takes my battery volts from 14v to 12v and like everything dims on and off. and when i put on my right blinker everything is ok.
what could be the problem?

Do the blinkers actually work? I mean on the one side that's giving you problems. Could be a faulty ground. A lot of the time when dealing with old car such as these the grounds go bad and cause all sorts of problems. Check and clean the grounds per the TSRM. Then check and or change the blinker relay. Might also take each bulb out and clean any oxidation off of the connectors in the socket and bulb. Be sure to disconnect battery first to be safe.
