Can someone tell me a little bit about the spooling behavoir of this FS turbo?

http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?128309-Turbonetics-62-1-.81AR

I have goals of about 400 whp with a fairly quick spool. I already have all the air / fuel / elec mgmt suporting mods.

I think I need the .70 AR instead of this .81.

Could a quick spool valve be added or maybe change out the exhaust side of this one to help woth the lag. Looks like a fair deal, maybe there is some room on the price.

I think that's not a bad deal by any means, especially if it comes with a warranty.

Also, the .81 exhaust housing should put you in the 3500-4000 full spool range, with a good healthy 7m, supporting mods, and fuel.

That said, I also think the .81 will have some room for you to grow with up on top end.

im useing a 62-1 with a .96 ar and alot of buddys told me id see full boost around 3 mabey earlier cause i have 9:1 copresion with bigger valves and crap. the .81 will defenitly give you a good mid range power band. what sucks though is my compresor housing hits the wheel well so i have to figure a way to fix it.

Jay just dyno'd my car (1.5jz, 67mm turbo with a .69 AR hot side, 9.0:1 compression). With that, Jay said that is was making positive boost at 2500ish rpm & I made 458whp /460ish ft/lbs torque at 17psi. I would think you would see similar results with this turbo and the .70 AR housing

Cool man. I spend some time with your car last week... Did not drive it, just loved on it for a whole. You know that don't you? What kind of shifter is that in your car?
