/\ Yeah not to mention that if you want to replace any of the lower IC rubber pipes from Toyota, they're that much EACH....

my friends mom has a twin turbo volvo thats all stock and he followed me and some of my boys an a highway pull and his turbos were red also it is just from long periods of high rpms and heat and beating the crap out of it:icon_bigg

Yes. Extended periods of high EGT's placed on the turbocharger(s), followed by a stock exhaust with multiple catalytic converters. High restriction behind the turbo's slow down exhaust speed, and increase EGT's.

I'd guess somewhere in the 1500f range... :)

That engine appears to be on a testing dyno. (Not uncommon that engines are tested up to the limits of the parts, and for hours/days etc they are run at WOT under load as well.)

Imagine running the 7MGTE for a week straight at full throttle, and under load so the engine will not over rev. Parts will get pretty hot, and very quickly parts that are not up to the task will fail.

I would love to see testing done on a stock motor with no coatings, and then the same motor with the parts coated. (My face/hand scorch test-0-meter is not that accurate temp wise, but there is a benefit to the coatings on the exhaust side for sure, even if it's only reduced underhood temps.
