Turbo Won't boost

took off the BOV, its in fine working order, but i lubed it up anyway. I double checked ALL the couplings, and found a small tear in one, replaced the couplings, and the turbo now boosts.



But...


It still doesn't act as before, its very sluggish when building pressure. It doesn't throw me back like it used to.



ugh damn you boost leaks, DAMN YOU



and about the carb cleaner - spray it in through the TB or around the seals (from the outside).

Maybe the ECu needs time to re-learn?

Have you inspected the turbo? Maybe you have a damaged impeller?

reset the ecu, it got *better* but still isn't fixed. I looked at and spun the impeller, it looked good and spun smoothly.

oh damn i'm having the same problem...just got a DDP and boost controller installed, and can't boost past 2psi, barely accelerating after 20mph...and dont yell, but i'm on unretorqued head (going to the navy in 2 weeks and having it shipped to SP), would be a possible BHG? smoke comes out like a bitch every once inawhile...=( help

ps.. no check engine lights, no coolant leaking/bubbles in coolant

Is the ISC check valve ok?

checked all the hoses, they all seem to be fully attached too...

Check the IC pipe that goes from turbo to IC, i had the same problem, mine was cracked, as soon as i replaced it everything was fine, boosted just like it should.

Yea I took that off, i inspected it, it looked fine, put it back on. I might just double check that the clamps are on tight enough. Ugh its so close to running better... SO. CLOSE.

spray the carb cleaner around the connections with the car running listen to see if your revs changes
