turbo timer question

If youv'e got a 1J swap, does it matter if you use a jza70 or ma70 turbo timer & harness? thanks in advance.

for you no. cause your ignition wires are still USDM. I'd use the MA70 one

Make sure the harness is for the right year. 86.5-89 should be a TT-01, iirc.

the a70 and a80 use the same TT harness. I have one of each and they both work.

I'm assuming it's the harness used for the earlier '93-'96 JZA80s? I ask because apparently, you need a different harness when it comes to the '97-'98 and my turbo timer came with the HKS TT-4 harness which was for the earlier years.
