turbo sound

i had mdc rebuild my turbo, but now when i accelerate just normally i can really here my turbo in my exaust. i dont know if anybody else has experience this but i dont really have anything to go off of. i havnt owned any other turbo car or riden in one. it sound cool. can you guys here this too?
also keep in mind from my zero boost thread i didnt have a vac line hooked up so this might contribute to this.

stock exhaust? if you have a cone intake you might be hearing the turbo spool up in there too.. i love that sound

Just rebuilt or was it upgraded also? I can hear mine spooling..

I noticed this when I went from my stock CT to a 60trim. The sound is much louder :evil2:

My turbos with a cone filter are pretty loud...

try makena intake that is smooth here more intake sound the shortemit is the better it is for sond as in tuning i don't know

i have a stock CT and an itake and full exhaust from turbo back. I could hear it starting to spool all the time it was a great sound. you get that big wooshing sound.

I could barley here it in the cabin when i had and intake and just a cat-back and a the stock DP. i always had to roll down the windows to hear the turbo spool'n

hope that helps. I think if you hear it though unless its making sounds a turbo should not be making then your ok.

Turbo whistle = sweet
Turbo squeal = ouch

You may have a small exhaust leak as well, that can really bring the turbo sound out. The turbo is always spinning when the car is running, and it's actually moving extremely fast just when you're driving down the road normally. So it's normal to hear it when you start modifying the car or if you simply have a leak somewhere.
