it would seem that everyone I talk to suggests the single route...I'd like to keep to the 1J's roots but it is much more of a headache between piping and upkeep.

was there ever a compressor map made for the 3540r? I don't doubt your advice, but others have told me that's too large of a turbo for the 1JZ.

I come from a land down under
One of the guys posted dyno sheets from his 1JZ 3540 awhile back!

Yes there's a bunch of maps kicking around.

Twins just add so much complexity to the equation that's not needed with modern singles!

so with a .82 a/r it should still be flowing as well as ever even at 9K and say, 26-27psi? I wasn't able to find a map to show me what kind of pressures I can get away with , but maybe i'm not looking hard enough.

I would think so, since you pushed yours to 8K on a 3L with no problem, but I'm just double checking

I thought you said it had to run on pump gas?

it will be run on pump gas 99.9% of the time, but I also have intentions to dyno and track it on some C16 every once in a while.

It looks like the gt2871r would be a better choice. Reguardless of horsepower, at anything over 2.5 pressure ratio on the gt2860rs you are almost off the map, which is only about 23 psi.

The gt2871r looks like it would put you right in the best efficency island for the power output it's likely to make at the pressure ratio that will likely be required to make said power, and it looks like you could run about 28 psi without going off the map.
