Turbo not boosting????????????

Hay i had that very problem, checked every little thing. have experiance working in a muffler shop we would see many of pluged up cat. converters. so goin with that i decided to unbolt the top (O2 sensor) @ the turbo and SHAZAM!!!!!! whent from 0.5 boost to an eye sinking 8 PSI in second and third F@$#^%S@#T!!!! so of came the top cat whent down the road and got me a manual boost controler an now i have a hell of time staying out of fuel cut...........good luck man....

I had a good friend who also had boost problems tried everythig under the sun and it was the cat he got rid of the bad cat and WHAM bost was back with a quickness. funny thing was he was told to check the cat and wouldnt do it. poor guy is bald now hehehehe.
I'm going to have the exhaust redone anyways, so if their is a cat under there it will be removed. Her car has got some wimpy muffler on their and she wants it to rumble. Hopefully this will help. First I'm going out there and reset the computer.
I reset the computer. I then installed my hks intake (spare) onto hers and still the same problem. I really think that it is in the exhaust, because it won't get more than 3000 rpm. I think it needs to breathe more. I am going to try and get the exhaust on later today. I will report back later......lol

whoa whoa wait, what do you mean by it wont get more then 3000 rpm?
as far as your wifes knock sensor issues. Reach under the intake plenum, you should see/feel two connectors on the block push them in and see if they click. I got my car for $1900 because the kid thought the Knock sensors were failing, 5 minutes of examination and they clicked back into place and whamo worked perfect, aside from the blown head gasket.
If that doesnt work you will have to refer to supras.com for a writeup on how to redo your knock sensors. Its not hard, as long as you can cut some wire and have patience..

As far as your car goes if your having a hard time building boost it could def be your cat. What exhaust do you have? It may be a bit loud but it would help to test things. Take off your exhaust at the downpipe, its 2 bolts and like 3 hangers and your catback exhaust comes right off. Run open downpipe and go for a spin see if it spools any quicker. if not you could go as far as unbolting the 3 bolts at the base of the turbo elbow and see if open turbo elbow fixes the issue. If not its something else..
