ive never heard of any of the ebay i/c's cracking except by the people in this thread, the turbos also arnt held with glue. the wastegates work fine. the only issue is occasionall they get stuck open. which is easily fixed. take it apart. sand the stem on the wastegate valve a lil and put it back. works fine. also, mine had the 1 bar spring. im going to use the ebay manifold, 50mm wastegate, and 24x12x4 i/c and will report on them once i have it up and running on the new engine. the manifold was fine, no warped flanges, and the only thing i saw i didnt like was the holes inside the manifold to the pipes for the wastegate were smaller then they should have been imho, so i used the dremel to open them up. also, i dont know if it would have hit the oil filter adaptor or not as i have a relocation kit so no problems there. manifold was $125 shipped, wastegate was $120 shipped and the i/c was less then $300 shipped. anyway, i might install it all on the old engine first to get baseline maps on the standalone before i swap motors so i dont have any issues damaging it when tuning, so ill let everyone know how it holds up on that engine as im not afraid to kill that one.
yes, you get what you pay for, you pay for a 321 ss tubular t4 turbo manifold and thats what you get, or you pay for a 50mm wastegate and thats what you get, you pay for a huge aluminum i/c and thats what you get. yup. you sure do get what you pay for.
