Turbo Jet Engine.

I am building one of those some day. When I was seriously looking into it, I came across a few interesting ideas like a gas turbine on a go kart like this:

Early jet engines were centrifugal compressors very much like a turbocharger...

Not too different than the setup here. Just had a longer shaft between the compressor and turbine, the combustion chambers where located around the shaft..The axial flow become popular quickly cause it has a smaller frontal surface area=less drag...

OK, thats as geeky as I get LOL........

And I think axial compressor can flow more air than raDIAL ONES.

a guy t my school built one of those... absolutely useless. the thing made about .25 lbs of thrust, couldn't even push the wheeled cart it was mounted to. that one looks cool though.
