Just after some feedback from anyone that has tried the turbo intake cam in the n/a engine.
Has slighly more lift & longer duration so should give a mild top end increase.

Which it is taking from the low end - depends on how you want your power band; power up higher or torque down low in the band.

Are you making this up as you go? Because the 7MGE cam has lower lift, and less top end. The turbo itself holds back the top end charge on the 7MGTE.

Obviously some of you guys are misreading my question.

All I want to know is how well the n/a 7MGE engine goes when you install the turbo intake cam in it.

Will it suffer from loosing too much torque down low compared to the extra power up top.
Could always advance it a few degrees to make up for that.

Advance at the bottom = loss at the top, how much? need a dyno run to find out. The only way around that is to install a variable timing retard/advance system in that you can control with a knob mounted somewhere on the dash. MSD makes them as well as others but you would have to install one of their ignition systems in for it to work.

As you can see, that isn't what you said. Perhaps I didn't need the extra comment either. But to the point. Skip the GE cam. And get an adjustable cam gear, as I think it is a better choice.

You should read this: http://www.supraforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=411951

I wish this tech. article was here as well, it has a lot of really good info. as far as cam tuning, and what you should or shouldn't do.

The TSRM shows that the lobe height difference between a turbo and n/a intake cam is only .19mm. I doubt you would see much of a difference.

I also saw another thread that explained the differences between n/a and turbo cams, and thought it said the n/a had more duration, and the turbo had more lift.
