I used some liquid wrench and was hitting the elbow against the curb and it still didn't even pop loose. I used tons of liquid wrench and even used a torch to heat it. I guess I will have to take it to an exhaust shop. Any ideas how much that will cost?

Please explain this whole post a little better. I'm assuming the whole thing fell off of the manifold. Did falling beat the shit out of it, or did you beat the shit out of it? Or, was that just a plan of action or a question?

Sorry bout that lol. I was saying someone stole it and that beating the elbow usually works great. I can see how this may have confused you now.....my bad. But no loss on the turbo, it had nearly 5/8th inch shaft play.

Just be patient with it. It took me and my Dad almost all day to get it off. If you use enough heat, it will break loose.

Heat around the studs and beat on it. Doesn't really matter HOW you beat on it as you're trying to break up the rust.

make sure to use a ball-peen hammer, as a hammer used for carpentry will break from the harsh metal to metal contact.

That said, use PB blaster (or equivalent) and soak all sides of where the turbo meets the elbow, and also around the studs poking out through the elbow. Let it soak in. Do that a few times. Then hit it with your hammer around the seams (turbo to elbow, but on the elbow), and around the studs. if you choose to hit the studs, make sure to have a nut on the stud so that the nut is taking the abuse and not the stud. You don't want to fubar your threads

If you hit directly around the studs you risk deforming the metal making it that much harder to remove it. I used a 5lb sledge and beat on the elbow itself as you're trying to shock it loose.

+1 on Hammer and or pry bar and hammer. If you bust the stock elbow, let me know, I've got two spares that I am about to post for sale.

Yea the sledge hammer should do the trick I hope. It will be a week until I can get ahold of it and until then I will let some more liquid wrench soak into it.
