sure the n/a-t is fun but its a ticking time bomb

I agree with this statement as to the ticking time bomb. I was always told not to run too much of a CR when running a forced induction system, Time Bomb.

Stock compression on the n/a isn't all that high. If it was say, 11:1 or better, I could see it being a bit risky. It's not that much higher than the stock turbo CR, iirc. Personally, I like the idea of a higher CR turbo motor, but it would need to be well tuned to run right. If I did decide to bolt a turbo on an n/a, I'd definitely use the turbo electronics, fuel system, and a piggy-back a/f system with a wide-band monitor. Really depends on how far you want to go, I guess....

With the reading I have been doing here I am thinking GTE block for the oil squirters, GE pistons for the CR Lexus AFM and fuel injector with a supporting piggy back solution. That should create a good and durable turbo environment. Should also be doable on GE electronics.

ya. if you have any other questions i would talk to the guys on celicasupra.com theres some guys on there that have turboed the 5mge and 6mge. If i remember right they were running at least an apex safc and a wide band. Thats probley what i would do if i was going to turbo an na motor. I wouldnt mess with the boost much over stock though just to be safe.

Right up till it rattles the first time and collapses the ring lands.....

High Comp Turbo motor is one that really needs the extra strength of forged pistons.
