Okay i dont even know where to begin. Me and my buddy got played. Last week I ran into a friend and he showed me all his turbo stuff that he was gonna install on his 200sx. He asked if i wanted to help and of course me and my fondness for shiny stuff agreed to help:nono:. My thought was that he knew what he was getting into and he had all the proper tools being a graduate of UTI:rofl:. But when the day arrived this past sunday he had already started before i got there and didnt have ANYTHING he needed tool wise. My tools were pretty much being the ones used. He didnt even have a jack and stands! And im thinkin "all this just to still get beat by lots of cars including mine".
Wiring: this part is the biggest WTF moment of my life... we didnt use electrical tape to tape up wires we used duct tape. i have pics and they damn sure will be up in a bit. I'm so sad to say that i used speaker wire to extend the stock o2 sensor... also have pic of this.
Turbo: Not even the right kit for the car... Stuff didnt fit like it was supposed to. Intake is all tangled and whatnot and there isnt really an air filter on it. We had an electric wood drill to drill out the oil return line into the oil pan. Of course we didnt have the right size drill bit and we had to hone around it til it got big enough to fit the fitting in it... NOT SAFE! The fool started drilling the oil pan before we even got everything situated (we didnt know how the IC piping was gonna fit). And no matter how much me and my other friend got on his ass to actually put in the coolant lines he just kept saying "oil is enough for now". Oh yeah he doesnt have a working turbo timer lulz.
IC Piping: Does not fit the car... We had to take the hood latch support off in order for the intercooler to fit behind the stock bumper and even then we had to use zip ties to hold the bumper up. intercooler itself isnt being held on by anything but the bumper and its zip tie.
Fuel: Instead of larger injectors there is an attachment to the throttle body that has two huge ones on it to compensate for extra air... come to think about it i dont think his fuel pump can handle this... said injectors are wired to the battery with speaker wire and duct tape lol. Air fuel ratio is all over the place.
I may have more but this is all i can rant about right now. I didnt know whether to post this in the off topic lounge or in this forum so mods if you would like to move it thank you and sorry. I learned to not like shiny stuff anymore. Being up til 5 am trying to turbocharge a pos like that aint worth it. The only thing that was worth anything was the 20 pieces of KFC which i do have pic of...
