Fuck it, let him crash and die on impact. It will cost less then patching him up. Just get the FD there to hose the area down.

According to the article, it costs more if he gets killed. Either way, we're paying for it.

I have a feeling he'd say the same as me.

Enact a socialist healthcare system, and then from that you can completely control people's lives on the grounds of "strain on the system."

Correct me if I'm wrong, but we already have a socialist healthcare system here.
The problem is, if it was ME trying to kick up a fuss(23 year old, conservative white male), I'd be laughed at. Any "minority" in any sense of the word however, is treated like Fucking royalty in this country.

I could go on a long rant...And as bad as that sounds, it's entirely true here.

My point was that because of the socialist healthcare system, they can tell people they can't be free to do what they want with their lives because it would "strain the system."

Helmet laws are stupid (except for minors). Where is he hurting anyone if he gets hurt or killed?

If it wasn't for your healthcare system it wouldn't effect you at all.

Oh, even better, why not outlaw bikes entirely on the basis that it "strains the system?"

I know what you mean...And I agree, it would be great if it worked like that - But denying him healthcare whether it's a condition of his exemption from the Highway Traffic Act that applies to every single other individual on the roads or not, would not be a politically correct thing to do. This country has been appeasing idiots like this guy for far too many years and a prescedent has already been set, unfortunately.

Screw the precedent. The fact that it's been done before doesn't mean it's right. Early pioneers to this continent handed out blankets infected with smallpox to the natives, but I don't see us doing that now.

And he can have his healthcare for everything else - if he falls off his roof and breaks his leg, fine. But if he comes in on a stretcher with the left side of his turban sanded down by asphalt, I want his credit card before he gets so much as an aspirin - or he can GTFO.

I agree that helmet laws are stupid... but they are in good company, because anyone who rides without a lid isn't very bright either. I guess they could just be downright suicidal...

lol, its funny because it's so true! Being white sucks soooo much, almost anyone could take anything they want from me if they play the minority card.

EXACTLY. i am so sick of everyone here abiding to everyone else's needs and wants, in sacrifice of their own. I remember when the Mounties used to have to wear the hats as part of their uniform. But no, some fuck head decided that he has religious freedom and can instead wear a turban... Like it's one thing to have freedom, but to knowingly go into a field where you know it is going to compromised is just stupid.

wtf if the cop wants to wear a hat he can wear a hat and if the sikh wants to wear his turban he can wear his turban simple as that...i myself am i sikh and i dont see any problems with the sikh officer wearing a turban but on the other hand the thing about the helmet is true if he wants to die he can but if he doesnt want to remove his turban then he ca get a car

Man, i ride Bikes every day. I go to work and ride bikes, go home and i go on a bike. I just don't get how people don't want to wear a helmet. I guess in Canada theres no road hazards or rocks or what not. I always get hit with little rocks or peoples stupid cigarette butts . That guy must ride an ex250 or a 50 cc scooter.

The ruling is in. Today, a Brampton Judge ruled that any motorcycle rider must wear a helmet. I guess dude has to pay the $100+ fine after all.
