water is probably collecting in the trim. get some clear silicon sealant, remove the rear hatch window moldings, apply sealant, reinstall moldings and your leak should be gone.

I have this same problem. I'll have to try this out. Thanks!

If water pours out from the plastic cover on the underside of your hatch its usually the trim at the bottom of the windshield or the spoiler seals. In my case it was both so I had to fix the trim and get news seals for the wing.

Leaky taillight gaskets will leak water into your car and usually settle in the spare tire well. You're taillights may also fog up.

OMG you guys are awesome!! Ive been trying to figure out where it was coming in and was going to get new gaskets for the wing even though it looked dry there out of desperation.

Awesomeness.

Which trim? The plastic on the underside of the hatch just pops off. Once you pop that off you can get to the nuts that hold the trim on the bottom of the rear window. You have to take the nuts off and them pop the trim off. You can also get to the wing fasteners that way too.

unless you're talking about the black trim. that's some sort of thin plastic weather stripping that is glued (maybe?) to the top and bottom of the metal around the hatch glass. mine is broken and cracked, and 90% missing so i was going to clean up the edges with a utility knife and then run a bead of black silicone between the two surfaces. if i had time i might tape up the car and spray the trim black again.

thats what I need to do, how do I remove the trim? I looked at a diagram on the TSRM, doesn't really show it.

water collects in the plastic cover on the inside of the hatch, the plastic cover was missing a few clips when I took it off and the 3rd brake light cover was off when I bought the car so im guessing someone has attempted to fix the problem already.
