i wasnt asleep i was at work ian ;)

the question is y would you want the 3.2 as ian states it is not gonna move of the line
the group a cars had r154 but with hollinger gearsets made for the specific track or rallyee that they were at
ie they ran a 3.** in 1st and 2.** in 2nd where as as run 3.2 in 1st and 1.9 in 2nd so a big difference is apparant so unless you are going to change your ratios i am sorry to say it is a bit of a no goer
as far as the v160 jza80 system goes its pretty much the same ratios as the group a in 1st and 2nd but a little tighter there after because of the extra cog to r154 but gearing is pretty much the same as group a car hope that clears thing up a bit

thanks for the info.... but believe me i know what would be needed to use it ;) ....guess im on the hunt for one to make my life easy...i guess the REAL question is how much will that cost compared to a custom setup that will deliver the same thing.

well technically either way is gonna be custom set up i guess i would change the ratios in 1st and 2nd and drop in the 3.2 but thats just my 2 pence ;)

haha well yeah i guess it would all be custom no matter how i look at it one way or another..but i meant custom rear end setup ;)

i have a plan....it will work one way or another...and work well...im just trying to figure out the best way to attack it :D

again thanks for the info...now if you could source one of theses 3.2 rearends or at least maybe find out how much they would cost if i found one....then i would love you forever ;)

lmao love not required leave it with me i will make some enquires but i think it is just internals that are different but hey i might be wrong give us a couple of days and buzz me if i havent let you know ;)

awesome...i was under the impression the housing would be bigger for all intents and purposes...but honestly if its just the gearing and whatnot thats different thats even easier ;) ill be waiting VERY impatiently for what you can dig up :biglaugh:

I think either of these could work:

3.27 ring + pinion from 1998-2001 V8 Lexus
3.07 ring + pinion from Toyota Trucks 22-RE 2WD with 4spd manual
