Did the Group A and/or Turbo A's come with a 3.2ish rear end? I read or heard something about that recently and am VERY interested in the truth of the matter....

ANY help would be appreciated.

wow awesome site...thanks allan...

and so i guess this confirms that at LEAST the group As ran with a 3.2....nooooooowwwww how do i get my hands on one???

Have a good differential shop put whatever gears in it you want. But why would you want to run a 3.2:1 diff? You got a good deal on 12" wheels or something?

Back in the day I ran a 2.5 diff with a Ford Top Loader behind a SBC ;)

He could run something like this in the Supra to go with the 3.2 diff:

they do rock, but the price is stupid.. you can get a 6 speed cheaper!

if someone with a cnc had the time and desire they could do the same thing with auto trans parts out of a supra box for probably ALOT less

Ok guys I am a Yota 4x4 truck buff. I know the trucks use an 8" in the rear end and a 7.5" in front. I hear that the 7.5" rear end in the turbo Supra is pretty strong. I am looking for some comparison information.

In a 4x4 truck the V6 rear differential housing is cast with some extra webbing to strengthen it up as compared to a 4 cyl housing.

Does Toyota do the same thing on the Supra rear diff's? Turbo vs non turbo etc...

turbo As had the stock 3.73 ratio, the group A cars DID run a crazy low gear like a 3.2 or so.....remember kiddies, a lower gear = boost sooner in a turbo car!

thats all im saying on the subject ;)
