Trim Pieces

well i would like to remove the trim pieces to paint them red, but i do not want to remove them without knowing how they are held on, if anyone knows let me know, and how to put them back on would help to

Are you talking about the ones on the body that go around the doors and such? They're held in by anchors IIRC, if you have a pre 89 I know they're a bitch to get off without bending.

well then thankfully it is an 89, ya in my case the car is red and they are th grey trim pieces on the door, and i want to paint them red. is there any special way to remove them?

Why don't you buy the economy size case of painters tape and mask it off and go to work? Get a bunch of news paper and mask the car.

You take that stuff off and you're almost promised that they won't fit or stay tight long after you re install them.

The TSRM also shows exactly what kind of fastener is used at each point in the mouldings.
