Tremec T56 Magnum. Going to try it. Information.

Hello everybody.
I've read this thread http://www.supramania.com/forums/sh...t.-Any-coments.-Interest....&highlight=tremec
but there is no info about completed setup of T56 magnum to Mk3.

Now, I would like to do this. I have the Mk3 with 1JZGTE. I want to change R154 to T56 Magnum.
I'm from Russia. There are very little of Supras Mk3. And no information about US gearboxes at all.

I need some information about this gearbox and about placing this into the car.
If anybody have some experience with this transmission, please respond here.

Is somewhere correct dimensions of T56 Magnum?
What gearbox (partnumber) is more compatible with Mk3 body ? http://www.tremec.com/performance/t56magnum.html
Is the shifter placed inside at the same place as stock R154 shifter?
Is it compatible with Mk3 body?
What body work will be necessary?

Maybe somebody have pics of the same installation.

Search for a thread by Syst on here, he swapped in an LS6 and T56 into his car. Should find some good info and hopefully pictures/details on the swap.

I've read his thread, he had swapped T56 (not Magnum). It is different dimensions, as I know.

im hoping to install a magnum very soon in to my jzs147...........the magnums are alot more wider them the v161/v160 getrag's i have sitting here................its going need some tunnel work for sure

has anyone ever completed the magnum conversion on a supra/2jz etc

BigZavs did a T56 to 1.5JZ conversion set-up, so you may learn something from his threads etc.
