Ok the little Reservoir should have a hose that goes to the bottom on one side this plugs into the Bleeder the other goes to the Pump.

Top off the Master Cylinder then pump up the Vacc pump and crack the bleeder but just before the pump runs out of vacc shut the bleeder, repeat a few times keeping an eye on the Master cylinder level.

Only read the first page have to go to work.
I had this problem for awhile. First check all your lines, the slave and master cylinder for the clutch.

If it all checks out. Remove the driver side clutch housing cover(black cover on the right side of the transmission) Pull the release fork out and use a small flash light and someone with small hands to inspect the bolts holding the small clip that release fork slides onto. One of mine had backed off and bent and the other was broke. This caused my clutch pedal to eventually stick to the floor and then car wouldn't start because the clutch wouldn't engage.
If this fails IDK I'd say try another transmission.
GL :)

hey guys, thanks once again. I used my vac pump thing i got from kragen, it didn't work last night because... HAHAHAH it had a leak on the cap where little container was, so i put teflon over the threads, then it started to pump, but i did it over and over for maybe an hour. The pedal started to feel different in a better way, and i saw the fork pulling the clutch, but the car still doesnt want to go into gear when the car is on. I'm assuming i just have some more air in there that i didn't get out but i'm just going to take it to toyota. let them fix everything so i don't have to deal with it on my time off... Thanks again guys.

If you bought the slave/master from anywhere but Toyota, I'm betting you bought a bad slave or master. I *really* have never had good luck with aftermarket or rebuilt slave/master cylinders. :nono: I've also never had a problem bleeding the clutch like others are describing... Maybe you need to jack the butt end of the car up so the air bubbles can get to the bleeder screw??? :aigo:

IJ. - Last I heard from you, you said you were "abducted by aliens". How'd that work out for you? :biglaugh:

Hey IJ, I didn't get the time to get a trailer to tow the supra, so after work today, i went and bought some of them metal brake lines that you bend up, and a new hose. Turns out that it actually was that D@^^N hose... it doesnt look like it will leak, but it is. Anyway i changed out everything basically. The slave, the master, the hose, and the metal lines. My first few times it was going into gear with some chatter. but i bled it some more... but now my starter makes that grinding sound like its not catching the flywheel. Is my flywheel bad? I mean when i put it into first gear, and move the car a little bit so the flywheel would turn, and then i try to start the motor, it will sorta turn over, then hit that spot and just sound like its grinding the flywheel. any ideas?? :) thanks once again. :).

Hey IJ, i dont think its my relay. i took a separate wire, connected it to my (+) on my battery, and had that turn my starter so i wouldn't have to go through a relay(this method... is it a bad idea and never use it ever again, because i run a starter button separate, and i sometimes turn my car one with that). and it sounds the same? sounds kinda like it spins in the same spot? wtf does that mean? lol... problem after problem... HAHAHAHA :runaway:

oh crap... so if one tooth is gone on the ring gear(assuming the pinion gear on the starter??) it can make the car not turn over, but it can spin still? so new starter?

Ring gear is on the flywheel, most motors stop in one of a few places as they come up on a compression stroke then when you go to restart them it's always wearing that section of teeth.

If your starter is a bit lazy it doesn't throw the pinion gear out far enough to fully engage and over time this makes more wear until you get to the point where it won't catch at all and you get the WHIRRRRRRRRRRRR nada

Try rocking the car in gear with the clutch out and this will turn the motor to a fresh section of gear and I bet it starts!

I think thats exactly it then. Because earlier when i was messing with it, i put it into first gear, and me and my friend pushed it forward a little bit. Then it wanted to start, didn't make that whirr grinding sound, but i guess when it hit that one point, it stopped and made that grinding sound and not turning the crank or anything again. damn... guess i'm going to have to take it to either toyota or some shop because i don't really have anytime to change a flywheel... :(...

hey IJ... heh... well my co worker at toyota in the parts department said that he could hook me up with a flywheel for $50, but when i pulled off my transmission... FU&#KING SH!T... turns out the reason why the starter wouldn't turn my flywheel at a certain point was because a few of the bolts holding down the flywheel broke off... Sooo.. i really don't have the time or patience right now to work on this 7mgte... so imma sell it and go 1jz now...
