My supra has some problems... When i was driving to work, my pedal decided to just stay on the ground at the stop light for some reason. I figured bleed it?? i'm guessing though because i'm not good at all with transmissions. Anyway as i'm driving to work, its hard to put into gear. really hard to put into gear, 1st and 2nd really. I searched around that might by my 1st and 2nd gear syncro right? my reverse is grinding also whenever i put it into reverse. But NOW, my car wont go into reverse, or any gear. It just sits there, on my driveway. all sad looking... Anyway anyone know whether i need a new syncro, clutch, Tranny... because i was going to buy a doner car for the tranny, but that didn't work out. Thanks again guys.

well if the pedal stayed down then maybe your master cylinder or the lines goin to your master are leaking fluid.Check if you master has any fluid on it

Replace both master and slave cylinder with Toyota parts. Autozone slave cylinders are no good. When one goes, the other usually follows. Hell, it's an old car.

I have that problem in my maxima (right now). My fluid will be dirty in less then 1 trip. I have a new master and slave cylinder here, just have not got them in, but yes, best thing to do if you get stuck with the pedal down... put your foot under it and lift up... or tie a string to it and pull :-D

FYI - I have had no luck with generic auto store parts in combination with a 3,200 lbs. RPS pressure plate. Hopefully under stock conditions, you'll have better luck.

When you get the slave cylinder, buy a 2 foot piece of hose that will fit into the bleeder screw. :naughty: Fill the reservoir, and let it gravity bleed. Then you'll only have to 'pump-n-bleed' 2-3 times for it to work correctly.

wow... no one has luck with parts stores...

Ok, at work i'll get my slave cylinder when we are slow. I'll just ask at the parts counter if they have one...

Hey guys, i changed out my slave cylinder and my master cylinder, bled the clutch with my friends. The clutch pedal feels like half way its normal pressing it down, but when i let it go, it feels like it goes half way up, then pops all the way up completely. we bled it like 6 times and feels the same. The fork looks like its pulling the clutch but i don't know if i'm looking at it all wrong though. Could it be my throw out bearing?? or my clutch? thanks again guys.

i'll try again tomorow. But when i bleed it, there probably still is air in the system right? its probably me doing it wrong... so no way it could be the clutch? i'm using the TSRM's when i do the bleeding... but i'll try it again. I only tried for like half an hour tho... THanks again.

use the clear tube like someone mentioned.

pump pedal 5-10X full stroke & hard then with pedal pressed to the floor bleed then close off.

Repeat until you see no bubbles in the clear line..

if later it still runs like crap do a couple pumps bleed if there is air in it then you have a bad line seal & or slave/master cylinder.

I also use a mityvac, mostly because I don't have friends that'll help me anymore. :1zhelp: Too many failed transmissions I suppose. :nono:

Ok... well i bought something similar to a mity vac from an autoparts store. I can't figure out if i'm using it correctly. Can you guys tell me how to use this thing? its like the mighty vac. It has a little resivior before the hand pump, then another hose. I don't think i've been doing this correctly. Help please :) thanks again.

oh yeah, me and my friend tried bleeding it. this is egzactly what we did... First i went under the car and tightend the bleeder screw on the slave, and my friend was in the car and he pumped the clutch maybe 10-15 times. then he would keep the clutch pedal down, and i would loosen the screw to where i think some fluid and air would come out. after that i tighten it, and my friend will pump the clutch again, and i see the fork pulling the clutch a little bit, but not enough to put the car in gear when the motor is on. :) correct me please. Thanks once again. Sorry for my stupidity
