My wife and I watched this again last night. The action is so much more clear at home; We saw many things that we had missed before, and we saw it in the theater twice.

As for the people who do nothing but criticize this movie and Michael Bay, it is no Citizen Kane or On the Waterfront, but it never was meant to be. Before you are so quick to judge, consider this:
Go back in time and show the 4-6 year old version of yourself the original Transformers cartoons [the early to mid 80's is when I watched it].
Now, fast-forward and as an adult, watch this movie. As an adult, watch one of your fictional childhood heroes, Optimus Prime, come to life on screen, with the voice from the person who played the original voice.
From that perspective, this movie is absolutely amazing, and it was to me.
The icing on the cake was to see one of the exact gunships that I wrenched on for almost my whole 9 year enlistment whoop a little ass and "bring the rain".
I hope they do the sequels as much justice as they did with this movie.

A couple of weeks before TF came out the Military Channel had a 1hr Documentary titled 'Spooky'...so I was 'educating' everyone after the flick about just how deadly that plane is.

That gun the A10 has is no joke either, Its 19 feet long and weighs 2 tons fully loaded. It shoots a 1 lb shell at 2200 mph, thats a lot of energy. But the movie, IMO was great, but the acting was bad and there was too much boring stuff in the middle. The main character kid got kind of annoying after a while too. I like how bumblebee is supposed to be the little wimp transformer, But he comes back after being dismembered and shoots down the tank decepticon after the marines try for however long. Bumblebee was always the useless one in the cartoon too(and also my favorite). I also like the way they gave VW the big FU by having the new camaro bumblebee parked right next to a bug.

After seeing the DVD have any of your views changed on the movie? Are there any scenes that you like better now after seeing it in the comfort of your home?

That one scene where Bumblebee was captured in the LA River was one of those scenes that I really thought nothing of watching it in the theatre(x3). But I couldn't help but notice after watching it at home how well that scene was done: the effects + music + acting...you really genuinely felt bad for BB and Sam. Shia did a wicked job in that scene as you can really see the pain he's going through...that kids a GREAT actor; best one in the movie. Anyway...just rambling here...just thought I'd share my thoughts on that scene.
