K heres whats up. i just put my 1jz in this past saturday. the motor is sitting straight and the mounts are in the cradle but when i looked at the tranny it was sitting crooked. the u bracket on bottom doesnt line up with the holes in the bottom of the car and the looking from inside it sits more towards the drivers side. i can't figure it out. also if anyone has any pics of the wing brackets installed it would be much appreciated because i can't figure out where they even go to.

are you talking about the brackets the 7M uses to keep the R154 attached? you don't use those on the JZ engine. did you put the engine mounts on the right holes on the block, you said it was sitting straight, but i don't know, worth looking at, at least.

ok so the wing brackets are a delete. k. the mounts are on straight and they sit flush in the cradle but it just seems wierd. its only off by like a cm. i can push the tranny and it moves but i dont want to force it. its supposed to sit in there right so idk. if you look at the motor and it sits straight as can be and the notches on the motor mounts are in the cradle. idk any suggestions?

If the engine is rested evenly on mounts the tranmission shouldn't be crooked, thats sounds strange, make sure theres nothing bent and make sure u have the right tranny mounts. If its just a cm try prying it a little in place .shouldn't hur:icon_evilt

k. i just didnt want to screw stuff up. i will double look everything this weekend. idk if its the car or what. its an 89 targa and it sat in akron oh for like 2 years and the guy pulled the motor due to high rpm rod knock on the 7mgte. its pretty rusty so ive been trying to baby her back to health.
