Sounds like a manual tranny that you got. MTL is a 75w80 gear oil. If you want to stick to 75w90 gear oil get MT-90.

Redline stuff is expensive but it is also the shit.

i noticed no improvement in performance or tranny temperatures (no way to moniter this, other than how hot the shifter gets...) with redline fluids.

i DID notice a HUGE difference with mobil one gear oil. that shit is 10x better than redline, IMNSHO.
shifter NEVER gets hot, and the second gear crunch was eliminated completely.

For the lsd I'm using redline diff gear oil 75w90 full synthetic. I've ran royal purple max gear too. I didn't notice any difference at all, but better new fluids than some 17 year old stuff sloshing around back there.

I've used the Mobile One in both the trans and diff with no problems at all.

Also used Royal Purple. (And some normal stuff on other cars, but really have pretty much changed over to synthtics when possible because they last so much longer in a gear case use.)

Have added, but do not think you need to SLD additive with the top quality Synthetic in the case. (At least most of them are marketed as not needing any additives.
