Well Im good at wiring, done alot of it. I just wanted instructions to make sure WHERE Im splicing shit up to.

You'll need a converter box because the Supra has separate turn signal and brake lights, and the trailer most likely has combo lights.

I spliced in right at the left tail light assembly using the 3M T splices that clamp right on with pliers. When I want to tow, I pull out the inside cover and pull out my wire. It hangs out the hatch just fine. When I'm not towing, the wire hides behind that cover.

Look at the wiring diagram over at cygnus.net for wire colors.

ps that one at Draw-tite looks a lot like mine, except it has the removable receiver. I wish I had that one. Maybe I'll upgrade soon because mine is rusting badly...

I might get a lil confused on the combo box part. My step dad might come in handy on this one hes the one who taught me all I know about htis stuff. He still has alot more knowledge than me though.

Thanks man, cant wait to get this part over with haha.

Well, I broke down and blew $90 on a new Hidden Hitch with the removable receiver. Good thing, since my 13-year-old hitch was impressively rusted (which was a Draw-tite). The new one bolted right up to the bumper core, as expected. It does take a little trimming because the steel bumper core is completely hidden by the polyurethane skin. A sharp utility knife works well. It's very nice to not have a shin-biting piece of steel sticking out when I'm not using it. The part number is 60932, from hiddenhitch.com (I have no connection...) Draw-tite doesn't show the '88 Supra any more.

Also, this was quite the example of how my religious use of anti-sieze paid off. The bolt heads were so rusted I had to use an adjustable wrench, but the threads were fine. Yay anti-sieze!
