I've had the C's shifter for years. I don't shift aggressively so that might be why you're thinking it looked like a stock one?

Saavedro, you can drive their with most any club hosting a DE after passing tech (you'll have an instructor with you) During Nasa weekends they open the course for 'touring' laps behind a pace car for the lunch hour. Might sound boring but my first time on VIR was during those and it can get fast and you'll likely be squaking tires even then until you learn the line. Check it out at one of the events this year, I'll planning to do full course again in March.

How often are the Nasa weekends? I've been wanting to get on that track for years but I thought you had to know people... Where do you go to pass the tech thing?

Let me know when you can attend one. Nasa will be there Feb 22-23, March 28-30 and a few other weekends. There's a pretech sheet that has to be completed with info on different shops that'll check over your car (leaks and safety items) A street legal car is allowed on track (no race seats, harnesses etc. needed) so no special equipment required beyond an approved helmet.

I'll be there both of the listed weekends but only on the big track in March (running Patriot in Feb.)

www.nasaracing.net has all the info you'll need

One other thing that might interest some folks. Nasa-MA is offering 'hyperdrives' on the Sat. of track weekends where you can run a single session with class instruction before hand for $50. That's a bargain to be able to try out track driving but I'd bet 98% of folks will wish they'd signed up for a whole weekend after the session is up ;)

Hey Brian, how was your weekend at VIR? I was there attending the full-course event with my group, I was just doing spectating and ride-alongs on both days. Got any more video to share? :icon_smil What group will you be in during the March event? I should be working that event so I hope to see you there. I might make it down to some Richmond auto-x'es this season and after the summer when I get wheels/tires/suspension sorted etc. I def. want to do a hyperdrive!

I figured you weren't there this weekend but I didn't really look around North paddock much. Patriot went fairly well, placed 13/77 but I didn't run the Azenis and saw some more time from talking to folks and watching vids. I'll be in group 2 in March along with a friend's STi.

Here's some vids from Sunday:

Also a couple showing some sessions from last time on Full course: (I only posted some individual laps before)

Hope to see you out there soon, there's a sinlgle day event in Nov. I did last year, $180 for 4-30 min. sessions and being able to drive VIR s a bargain.

Cant wait to get back onto a road course, its been a long time.

Your car looks like its a blast on the track. I have not had my Supra on an open track day yet. I did quite a few "time attack" style events about 9-10 years ago in my Alfa Romeo.

You have some awesome looking tracks down there, the elivation change looks fun and challenging.

Thanks guys, should be much better once I figure out why I'm only catching people in turns. Just doesn't pull that well on straights but does in low gears. I think the old engine is just tired.
