I believe so, go to autozone/napa/advanced website and look up both, check to see if the part number is the same.
Napa has 2 different sensor per year. Just for reference one is $114 and the other is $250. I looked up '88 and '90. The $250 sensor has the same product code for both '88 and '90. But the $114 sensor has a different product code from '87 and '90.

Edit: Autozone has 2 different part numbers as well. My guess would be the connector itself is a bit different on pre89 vs. post from the ECU and wiring harness change
