toyota wp and aftermarket wp

a while back i got the belts done when i was doing a new ps pump along with the timing belt so while that was getting taken care of i picked up a water pump while the belts and all were off, the one that came off was a after market one and so was the new one that went on

there was a thread in this section about the differences between a after market water pump and a toyota one (the propellers are different)

since i will be doing a rebuild sometime this winter i decided to go with a toyota one this time

first picture the toyota one is on the left and the aftermarket on the right

yep, cast impeller, seen a couple failures on the forums over the years so I won't run one...

the one that went on was a cardone autozone water pump but the one i have pictured is the one that came off so i don't know what brand that is
