I'm quoting this from myself from another forum. Hope you guys like it:

"Well, the waiting is almost finally done. I don't have my friend's magazine here for direct quotation, but I will post what my memory serves.

Toyota has been doing very damn well lately, and now they are about to do what they are known for doing best, the Supra.

After so many years of vacationing, they decided it was time to wake it up again to do its job as their flagship car. It is almost decided that they will discard the 4.5L V-10 for a more economical V6 3.5L, the same engine in the IS350. But that's not all, for they want to twin turbocharge the car to boost the already phenomenal 306hp.

To make their stand even firmer, Toyota is talking with Honda to buy their AWD technology, improve it, and install it into the new Supra, giving Nissan's ATTESA-ETS and Porsche's old PSK systems a run for their money.

Victory has never tasted better......"

EDIT: I doubt it'll be a turbo as well

I disagree, I think they'll produce a Supra again.

Keep the faith! :) Actually, I just want to be around to watch when the bottom drops out of the market for the Mk4, and all those precious Mk4 drivers are left sniveling about their 'investments'. :D

Believe me, as soon as the market drops, I'm snapping one up. :) The prices are already declining from gas, and I think, the general "fed up with this, everyone has seen it/done it already" feeling.

that is completely false for two main reasons..

1) supra will NEVER be on another car...there might be another flagship sports car from toyota or lexus...but it will NEVER be badged SUPRA...especially if its coming from the lexus camp.

2) toyota will NEVER turbo charge another vehicle...they consider turbos to be a step back in technology.

I read in a C&D that Nissan will market a version of the Skyline GTR here in the USA. It will be badged Infiniti G35-GTR, twin turbo version of the current motor, pushing about 450hp, and awd. Supposed to come out in about '07-'08. I personally think that a turbocharged engine could be possible. I am in agreement with it being marketed under the Lexus name tho.

Usually when Toyota kills a name, it stays dead, the only time I can think of when it was revived was the MR2 Spyder, but even then, the MR2 was only killed after 1996 in North America, so it wasn't technically killed.

That being said, the Supra may come back on something, I don't work for Toyota (yet... :evil2: :evil2:), so I don't really know.

I think that the Mk4 prices will decline and the Mk3 prices will start to go up. I mean look here and at SF, Mk3s are the shizznit! Soon their real potential will be realized, or am I late?

late and wrong.
the only time a mk3's price will surpase a mkiv's is if the iv is totalled. even then it'll probably fetch a fair amount.

Toyota should be more like Nissan. Nissan although terminating the Skyline, is now re-introducing it. Surprised? I'm not, because soo many people love it and so the yrealized the mistake and will give it a rebirth. Toyota will always sell fine minivans...

Go Sienna!!!

Nissan never terminated the Skyline, they terminated the Skyline GT-R.

The 1989 - 91 MR2 thing was NOT a termination, it was the exact same thing that Toyota did with the Supra in 1986, except they learned from their mistake. The AW11 MR2 was built until 12/89, and the SW20 and SW21 MR2 was built starting in 1/90. For the 86 Supra, it was built until 12/85, and the 86.5 Supra started in 1/86, but caused, and still does cause, a lot of confusion.
