www.supracharged.com - it's been done before. ;)

Aren't they using a 1uzfe? But yeah, basically it should be the same as doing a 7mgte swap into a toyota truck.

Shouldn't be all that tough to do and the upgraded rear axle should be able to handle the extra power of the 7mgte.

the stock rear axle will likely hold the power of the 7m, unless you're going for a crazy motor.

I found some more info on the dolphin... apparently it has a curb weight of 3,500 lbs and gets around 20mpg with the 22r. Hopefully that stays the same with the 7m in place. :biglaugh:

Isn't that the same curb weight as our supra? lol.

LOL

Reminds me of a few days ago, a friend and I went to lunch in his Z28 and some guy at a stoplight was bragging to a friend (in his car) about how fast his V6 Mustang was... When the light turned green, he tried to race us and got raped badly. At the next stoplight his friend was laughing his ass off and the guy was about as red as the reply button

If it is similar to the 22r truck, use mkii motor mount brackets and the thing bolts right up using stock motor mounts. good luck with that.

This isn't the exact motorhome, but it's in pretty much the same shape, same color scheme.

It would actually be a do-able swap IMO, since 7mge swaps appear to be fairly common among the 1980's-late 90's toyota trucks. However, a 7mgte into a paseo wouldn't work (engine layout is all different, no diff in the rear, overall too much fabrication to be feasible)... plus I think a 7mgte into a 1980's Toyota Starlet would be a better choice (and worth the time and effort); 1,600 lbs and 230 hp!

Basically the Toyota Dolphin is just a Truck with a Camper built onto it. :biglaugh:

What kinda person would soup up a basically Japanese Winnebago? I mean WOW, guys I know your cheap, a bit nutty, and sometimes just wierd and I can see great ideas in some crazy shit myself but WHY!!!!!!!!!!! is my question here, I mean there is no potential for anything out of that vehicle, it's heavy I'm sure, has no aerodynamic desgin other than as a block with wheels, and it's probably a technical nightmare for wiring etc. Just WOW sorry if I pissed ya off but this thread is just plain creepy

don't race it, at least not a high-contact race

anyway, i think it would be a cool idea, if you want a camper and will use it. if its a nice camper inside and you will use it, i say go for it! just dont swap in an engine and then let the thing sit, you'll be waisting two engines and a decent motorhome.

that aside, it would be neat to see it repainted, the whole thing, if that's not extremely expensive in a cheaper color. if not just put some sick rims on it, the new engine, and call it a day :)

it would be AWESOME to drag race a camper. :p
