Don't mean to hijack the thread, but I was wondering if its necessary to purchase the OEM Toyota Gasket set for the engine if you plan on tearing it down to replace the head gasket with a MHG? It cost roughly around $250 with the discount. Has anyone bought this when re-building their engine?

Man i got freakin riped then. I payed 325 for my gasket set. And thats the guy everyone told me to go through. O well..

Get the gasket set from Nopi. For your best interest get a hks metal headgasket also get arp head studs. You will be able to turn the boost up or stay stock without any headgasket scares in the future. head gasket i going to run around 115.00-120.00 head studs 99.00 that kind of security is priceless.
