Does anyone here have a torque plate they would like to rent out?

How about, does anyone have a 7m head they would like to donate to the cause and I will make a torque plate?

I come from a land down under
Dunno how well this will simulate an actual head being clamped down as to give the Boring head access you lose most of the Heads structural integrity.

The plate my guy uses is 3" thick Steel.

Be interested to see how it goes and very interested in the boring 6x 3.3" holes through a head :)

Again, Where in Florida are you? I have a couple of N/A heads. One is stripped of everything, the other complete. Just pay shipping, or I'll meet you halfway if you are near Pensacola.

Ok,
so judging from some replies the idea might be crazy. Ive heard of making them out of heads, it seems like it wouldnt be too difficult since the bolt holes are already there and aluminum is fairly easy to bore compared to steel, but then yes the question remains is it strong enough?
Im waiting to hear from my machinist if he still has a 7m plate and how much it would be to make one.
I may not need the head, will pm someone who replied if that changes.
If there are other interested parties in getting a plate made (from steel) let me know and I can price out the possiblitiy of having more than one made. Or if others want to share the cost let me know.

Oh yeah,
I am on the central east coast over at Merritt Island.

a device used to hold the block still while boring it out.

Well..its a little more than that.
Its purpose is to simulate the stress applied to the block when the head is bolted down. This ensures that the cylinders are round when the head is in place.
