Those are ok, these are better: http://www.tiretrends.com/catalog2.php3?tireID=478

275 is going to be scary close in the rear. I'm lowered on ST springs, with a 17x9 +35 in the rear, 275 width 40 series tires, and it's DAMN close. Full tank of gas makes me nervous whenever I see any kind of bump, and I'm careful to turn at low speeds. Yours will be 4mm closer yet...

To be honest the size of the rears hadn't concerned me till you pointed that out. I compared them to the wheels I have now and I have 11mm more clearance so I figured I should be good to run whatever tire I like. I will have to take a look at it when I get them and make a decision.

How good is that site that you posted? Have you bought from them before? Are they based in Canada? I've been pricing tires for a while and anywhere local is just outrageous but those prices seem decent.

the kumho MX's are pretty damn nice

when are you gonna be driving it? year round in rain?

I'd get ASX's in that case... (or the SPT's if you're a bit strapped for cash, I love mine, no issues at all in the rain)

The driving I do is all summer and not too much rain. However I do go to every Supra meet rain or shine.

I read some magazine reviews and this tire scored great in wet or dry...plus it looks bad ass! However I would be looking at roughly...C$ 965.45 all said and done. That's alot of cash. Plus, my car doesn't quite require tires with such good grip just yet. Oh well...this is all academic anyways till someone buys my Mk4 N/A wheels. Can't afford to buy the tires till I sell those.

That site is awesome - I've bought there, and so have several of my local buddies as well. They are based in Canada, sell in Canadian prices, and their communication / delivery were good.

I bought those tires I linked to, they stick like glue. WAY more grip than any set of Kumhos I've tried. Of course, they are only good for about 20k...

Do you have some pics to show how your wheels/tires fit? Which Kuhmo's have you tried? I have a set of Supra 712's right now and they are ok but I was hoping for something a little stickier. I also thought they stopped making the 712's but they are available on that site you gave.

I'm just excited and confused right now. Can't wait for the wheels to get here so I can figure out what I need.

Kumho 712's (Supra's) are old outdated garbage, the SPT's replaced them and are a FAR better tire.

get some SPT's, I love mine...
