Well today I went out for a tear in the supra and this is what happened. Well driving along the car pulled like usual until boost came on then the car wouldnt accelerate I was stuck @ 2500 rpm shifted, acceled again to 2500 rpms then no more accel all the way to fifth the turbo (BONE STOCK) was screaming and whining. Need help I think it may be the wastegate stuck open??!!! Anby suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Pull off the accordion hose and see how much play it has in it.

It wouldn't be making any different noises if the WG was stuck open. AFAIK.

If your on a really tight budget just get another used one and make sure it doesnt have alot of shaft play..

If you got a lil money then go and upgrade it for sure. MDCMotorsports FTW!!

If you drive it again and you hear it screaming like a Banshee.... the turbo is dead and it's time for a rebuild.

If you dont want to add upgrades and poor your money out your wallet like buying a new feul pump, 550inj, lex afm etc., just send your turbo to Jon @ MDC(vendor here) and he will rebuild your turbo to stock conditions and will look like new.

If you wanna start upgrading start searching for 57 trim upgrades for the ct-26, bolt-on turbos etc. IMO 60-1 in a ct26 is to big 57 trim is just right.

So could it just be a boost leak because now I think blown turbo is not the answer. It just doesnt sound bad, also no smoke!

well check for boost leaks.....vacuum lines and IC pipes.
like one of the other members said remove the accordian hose and check for shaft play.

Keep driving the car if you notice it whining louder everytime you drive it's done. Try to get a sound clip if you can it would really help.

Mine did not sound like the sound clip posted either, and mine sounded like what your describing. Does it get louder the higher the rpms? But seriously take off the intake and check for shaft play...

It doesnt get louder it just gets higher pitch

yea... if it's squealing at a higher pitch your turbo is dead. I've been oin a car with a turbo death whine.
The way your describing it thats what i think it is, but know one is 100% sure unless you check for shaft play and the turbo itself.
Boost leaks wouldn't make a loud squealing noise.

Dude when mine blew I just bought a used turbo for about $175( i think) and slapped that on. I just made sure it had minimal shaft play...
